I personally believe the purpose of a college education is to get a knowledgable background of the world and then a special background of whatever your major is. Overall, having a college education will allow you to get a better paying job. Having the background that college gives you, allows for a better ability for a job. I think being educated means that you are knowledgable on a variety of important things to know to be able to live a decent life. I've been led to believe this because most of my life, I've been told that you need to go to college to get a better paying job. If I want to make a decent amount of money, I need to go to college. Growing up around this is why I have this belief.
